6 Days Marrakech Desert Adventure

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Arrive in Marrakech, where you will be welcomed by your guide. After checking into your accommodation, take some time to relax or explore the local area. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a traditional Moroccan restaurant, savoring local flavors and dishes.

Day 2: Marrakech to Ait Benhaddou

After breakfast, depart Marrakech for Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its well-preserved kasbahs. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Atlas Mountains, stopping for photos along the way. Upon arrival, explore the village, learning about its history and significance in Moroccan culture. After lunch in a local restaurant, continue your journey to Ouarzazate, often referred to as the “Gateway to the Sahara.” Spend the night in Ouarzazate.

Day 3: Ouarzazate to Merzouga

Leave Ouarzazate in the morning and head towards Merzouga, passing through the stunning landscapes of the Dades Valley and Todra Gorge. Enjoy a stop for lunch in a local town before arriving in Merzouga in the afternoon. Once there, take a camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes, where you will witness the beautiful sunset over the sand. After your camel ride, reach your desert camp, where you will enjoy dinner and traditional Berber music around a campfire before spending the night under the stars.

Day 4: Merzouga Exploration

Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the dunes, a truly magical experience. After breakfast at the camp, spend the day exploring the surrounding areas, including a visit to a nearby Berber village. Learn about the local culture and traditions, and enjoy a leisurely lunch. In the afternoon, you can try sandboarding or relax in the dunes before returning to the camp for another night of stargazing and cultural activities.

Day 5: Merzouga to Marrakech

After breakfast, begin your journey back to Marrakech. Stop along the way to visit interesting sites, including the town of Rissani, famous for its market and traditional crafts. Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant before continuing your drive back through the Atlas Mountains. Arrive in Marrakech in the evening and check into your accommodation. Spend your last night in Marrakech exploring the vibrant streets or relaxing at your riad.

Day 6: Departure from Marrakech

On your final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast and some last-minute shopping or sightseeing in Marrakech. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure, concluding your memorable desert adventure in Morocco.
