5 Days Moroccan Desert Adventure: From Marrakech to the Dunes of Erg Chegaga

Day 1: Marrakech to Ouarzazate via the Atlas Mountains

Depart Marrakech in the morning, heading into the High Atlas Mountains. Drive through the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, where you’ll marvel at panoramic views of the rugged landscapes. Stop at the famous Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a fortified village known for its role in numerous films. Day 2: Ouarzazate to Zagora

Upon arrival in Zagora, visit the historic Jewish Quarter and the small local market. Day 3: Zagora to Erg Chegaga Dunes

Drive through rugged terrain and sandy landscapes until you reach the remote Erg Chegaga dunes, the largest and most untouched dunes in Morocco. Experience a camel trek across the golden sands, taking in the vast expanse of the Sahara. Settle into your desert camp, complete with traditional Berber tents. Day 4: Erg Chegaga to Taroudant via Foum Zguid

Day 5: Taroudant to Marrakech

After breakfast, begin the journey back to Marrakech. Drive through scenic landscapes, including the Souss Valley and the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Along the way, visit an argan oil cooperative and learn about the traditional methods of production. Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon, where your adventure concludes.
